INTRODUCTION

TO THIS PROJECT

The hospitality project is the last project before the December hols start. This is only the research and development stage of the project so the renders as shown above are just draft renders. For this assignment, we were asked to design a 5 star villa and come up with 2 design schemes.

This villa has to comply with the following conditions :

. dedicate living/dining, lounge, sleep and wet
areas

. 1 x King size bed (1.8 x 2 M Mattress) or 2 x single Bed

(1.2 x 2 M Mattress) with purposefully designed bed

head and bedside tables

. Concealed air conditioner

. Multiple dedicated lightings

. Window coverings or dressings

. 1 x Writing table
1 x fully fitted or freestanding wardrobe
1 x minimum 5 seaters sofa set in the

dedicate lounge or veranda area
2 x Mirrors in the non-wet area
1 x Cabinet for beverage-making

facilities
2 x TV greater than 42ins screen
Communication and business facilities
1 x dinning set for minimum 2 people
1 x en-suite bathroom with separate

shower and bath

CHOICE OF FURNITURE

FOR THE 1st DESIGN SCHEME

For the furniture, we have to choose them from super brands recommended by the tutors. The super brands are Minotti, Cassina, Knoll, Kettal, Herman Miller, Cappellini, Tom Dixion, Flos and Vibia. We had to choose four product from at least 3 brands. I used furnitures from Minotti, Cassina, Herman Miller and Flos.

There is not much difference in the furniture between the first and second scheme. The main difference between the two design schemes shall be based on the colour and the materials that I will be using in the design .
